Today my mom called and said that the original bat mobile was out at SLCC (Larry H Miller campus) by my dads office. We threw shoes on the kids and rushed out there so the kids could see it. The machine guns work...and they even shot blanks. It was amazing. What an incredible car.

Yesterday was a great day. Rob's cousin Lisa and her daughter came down to Salt Lake so I could do her Senior Pics. We went to Walsburg to shoot them and my cousins were up there. Michelle offered to be my assistant...I think I will have to have her on all my future shoots. She was AMAZING. Jonci and her friend Abbey were a blast to be with. I think this was the most fun I have had in a long time.

IDOS cook off at the West Jordan Stampeed

Saturday Rob and I competed in the IDOS sanctioned West Jordan Stampeed DO cook off. We competed against my brother and his girlfriend Jamie (who made it to Worlds last year) the second place winners at worlds last year and several other amazing DO chefs. We cooked a stuffed beef tenderloin, buttermilk bread and key lime macadamia nut pie. It was a lot of fun. This time we were much more prepared. We didn't place as high as we would have liked to but it's all about learning, improving, and most of all having a good time. That being taken into consideration...we took first place in those areas. A huge thank you to my brother and Jamie for getting us involved. Thank you for your love, support and encouragement. You guys are a great inspiration. A SPECIAL thanks to my mom and dad for taking our kids and for coming and supporting us. It was my moms birthday and instead of doing something fun for herself they took our kids and spent the day with them supporting us and being the BIGGEST FANS of me, Rob, Butthead and Jamie. Thanks for everything you do for us and for giving up your day for us. Love you!

Rob and I did our first DO cook off at West Fest. It was a ton of fun. When we got there it was a little entimidating at how many people were there doing this cook off for the 5,6, or 7th time. WOW! They spoke of how tough the competition is and how they did in the past. Rob and I looked at each other and said, "this is for fun, no expectations." It worked. We did yogurt chicken, french bread and raspberry white chocolate cheesecake.
Things didn't go quite as well as we had hoped. The bread didn't rise well...or at all, we forgot spoons to stir with, we didn't put parchment paper in the bottom of the DO so we could get the cheesecake out, and my knifes were so dull they barely cut. BUT WE HAD FUN.
When it came time to present our food, I was so embaresed I couldn't even look at how great everyone else did, for fear they would ask which was ours.
Last place here we come...BUT WE HAD FUN.
At the time of announcement of I was having such anxiety. But they did the kids division first. YEA for all of them. Then the 1 pot division. Here comes 2 pot...there was only 1 team. Now it's time for 3 pot...that's us. 4th place, third place, "Now can we have the last two teams come up." I ran. I was so excited...one of them was us. Rob just stood there not understanding what was going on. He knew we didn't place. BUT WE HAD FUN!
We stood up there and found out that there were only 3 points seperating 1st and 2nd. We took second place. OMGosh are you serious. The bread tasted great even though it was flat. All the cheesecake was gone and so was the chicken.
IDOS...here we come.

Years ago, when Godfathers Pizza was around and I was in Jobs Daughters, (lets just say 18 years ago), we would go to for pizza often. My FAVORITE pizza was their taco pizza. I spent some time last night looking for taco pizza recipes. Keep in mind anything you cook on the stove or in the oven can be done in a DO. I found several recipes. I took a little from each and came up with my pizza. I found a recipe for pizza dough. I was VERY nervous because I have never ventured into cooking anything that involves yeast...unless it is Rhodes bake and serve. But once again I stepped out of my comfort zone and did it.

I invited my parents over for dinner, but just a few hours before it was time for them to arrive, I got nervous and thought you better buy pizza crusts that are guaranteed to be good.

I did 2 taco pizza's. One with the crust I made and the other with the store bought one. I also did a pepperoni. They turned out great. I surprised myself. The best part was, everyone agreed my crust was better than the store bought. Guess I know I can do it now. So proud of myself.

I said I was going to make pizza pockets...and I did. They were YUMMY!!! My brother and his girlfriend Jamie came over to drop some new DO toys to me. There were two left and they ate them. Butthead even told me he was proud of me. I can't tell you how much that means to me. He is a amazing chef so his approval is a HUGE bonus. I will keep trying to impress him and maybe one day I will be 1/4 as good as him.

Last night I broke out the Dutch Ovens for dinner. I think they are going to be the perfect way to cook this summer. Our kitchen has a catch 22. There is a huge sky light that heats us in the winter and burns us out in the summer. I will probably cook most of our dinners this summer in the black pot. I did chicken, potatoes and a mud cake for dinner. I have to say, it turned out pretty good. Today I am going to do pizza pockets. I'm sure there will be a post on how they turn out. :)

For the past few years, every gift giving event my brother and his girlfriend Jamie gave me and Rob dutch oven gifts. (They compete in dutch oven competitions, and even qualified for "worlds" this year.) All of the gifts have been sitting nicely in the garage, boxed up, and collecting dust. David constantly asked me when I was going to use them. He even tried to talk us into doing a competition with him. "Are you crazy? I don't cook."
Well Monday night, after yet another time of Dave asking me when I was going to use the dutch ovens, I broke them out and cooked a pineapple upside down cake. It was amazing! Even my brother approved. WooWhoo. Now that is a accomplishment.

This weekend we went to the cemetery and had a picnic at my grandparents grave. Budah told us..."this was the best picnic ever." I wish that he and Mik had been able to know my grams and gramps here on earth. Budah was only 6 months old when my gramps died. My grandparents would have loved them so much and would have loved to have watched them grow.
My grams and gramps were wonderful and loved their family unconditionally. They were true examples to me. I miss them both more than I could have imagined and feel blessed that they were my grams and gramps.

Budah is our baseball player. He loves it and is really good. We spend many a day at the field for practice, games, and hanging out watching the bigger kids in the minors and majors. HE LOVES IT. We are so proud of him.

I have been meaning to take recent pics of the kids but just haven't done it. Saturday was the day. It was so cloudy outside but we braved the weather and made our way downtown. Budah was ALL about having his picture taken and seeing them. Mikala fell asleep so I ended up getting more of Budah than lil sis. They are so cute together and truly make me proud to be their mommy. I think what is so special is how close they are to each other and how they are constantly thinking of the others feelings.

Just two short days after Budah started school Mikala turned 2. OMGosh, where has the time gone. She is growing up so fast. Her vocabulary is growing daily. She is a little on the sassy side which can be funny as can be and frustrating at the same time. She and Budah are best friends. I LOVE IT. She has learned so much from him and has taught him a lot also. I feel so blessed to be her mommy and love her so much.

Budah started preschool on September 8, 2009. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be. I didn't want to be one of those moms that is traumatized by their child starting school but deep down inside I was a little. It seems like I fell asleep and woke up with a 3 year old. Budah potty trained in a week. We told him that he had to be a big boy and potty in the toilet so he could go to school and the next thing we know he did it. We rewarded him with Spiderman stickers and it was done. We had tried for months before hand with no success then he decided it was time and the rest is history.
The morning of September 8 he woke up all excited for school. He kept telling Mikala he was going to go to school and that she could come with me to pick him up. The way he spoke of school was in such a grown up tone and it really threw me off. My baby boy went to sleep the night before as my baby boy and woke up my big boy. I know you know what I am talking about.
I didn't shed any tears after dropping him off even though when he said good-bye and walked away grown up it was like a dagger in my heart. I was so proud of him.
Mikala now sits in his car seat when he is at school. I think it is her way of showing that she is getting big also. So fun to watch but such a eye opener.
You two make me so happy and proud as a mom. I love you guys.

Mikala is obsessed with shoes. It doesn't matter who's they are or what the look like she wants to try them on and wear them around. Most of the time we can't find our shoes. We have to look all around the house to find a pair. She has a great sense of fashion. So, the next time you can't decide what shoes to wear...take a lesson from Mikala. A few weeks ago Rob, Budah, Mikala and I went to Heber for a Native American Pow Wow. It was so much fun. I LOVED IT. After we spent a couple of hours there we drove up to Cascade Springs. Rob and the kids had never been there so I thought it would be cool for them. Budah thought it was fantastic. Mikala loved her ride in the stroler (which is so not like her). Rob hadn't had a lot of sleep but he even had fun. It is so beautiful up there. I strongly suggest you take the drive.

I don't know about all of you but I am a little tired of the rain. I feel like we are in Oregon. It seems every time I think about getting on my bike, it rains. I am going to do the ULCER (Utah Lake Epic Century Ride). If this rain doesn't slow down I am not going to be able to train, and condition my butt. I haven't been on my bike for a long distance ride since the Tour. Oh well. I have to look at the positive side, my air conditioner isn't running non stop which keeps the power bill down, my water bill is down since I don't have to water the lawn and the rain does bring beautiful rainbows.

For Fathers Day we went up to Walsburg for dinner on Saturday Night then we spent the night. What is up with this weather? It rained us out!!! We spent the night with the hopes of getting a bike ride in. Well, I did get to take a ride with my "sister in law" Michelle (My cousin Eddie's wife). That was a ton of fun. We just did a short little ride but did a lot of talking which we haven't had time to do in a long time. Rob and Eddie hung out and caught up. It was so much fun. Then it rained, and rained, and rained. Oh well. It was still a ton of fun. Can't wait to hang out with them agian soon. My Aunt and Uncle, Mom and Dad, Butthead and Jamie also came up to celebrate.

I am so lucky to have these amazing men in my life and I love them more than words can say.

The Ride to the Tour de Cure

On June 13, 2009 Rob and I road in our first Century ride ever. It was in support for the American Diabetes Association. As you know I am diabetic so it was very appropriate for me to make this my first ride. I raised over $800 dollars for the ADA. It was a cold, wet, gloomy day. We were rained on, Rob blew his back tire, and broke his cleat on his shoe. Don't you worry, we finished our 104 mile ride in 7 hours and 18 mins. Thank you for all your love, support and believing in me.

This weekend was my Mom's family reunion. My Mom and Aunt organized it. It was a lot of fun. I was able to hang out with my cousins that I don't see near enough as well as see extended family that I haven't seen for years. One of my Dad's friends gave him tickets to a play off game for the Utah Grizzlies. My Dad had never been to a game and asked me if I wanted to go. He had 4 tickets and since Mikala was free I asked my best good friend if she wanted to go with us. Austin and Mik had never been to a game and it has been about 8 years since I have been. We had GREAT seats and a FABULOUS time. Thanks Dad for letting us go with you.

Can you believe we have already celebrated Easter. I thought it was closer to Christmas the way the weather has been. I don't know about you but I am wanting some warmth. Today my brother competed in a Dutch Oven Cook Off at the South Town Expo Center. Unfortunately, I didn't get to be there until the end of the competition. My lil' bro is a amazing chef and truly in his element when he is cooking. He took 4th place out of 14 and isn't even a full time chef anymore. GOOD FOR YOU BUTTHEAD!!!

Gabi's Baptism

Today I went one of my best friends baby's baptism. As I was running out of the house I grabbed my camera. Gabi was born last June and I had the pleasure of being one of the fist to see her after delivery by C-Section. Today, I had the pleasure to be a part of this special day. Sophia and Brandon (her husband) graduated from Judge the year after I did. Sophia and I were good friends while in high school and kept up on each others lives in the years after. One day Sophia came into my office with her newborn boy. That was nearly 3 years ago. I am thankful to have her and Brandon in my life as well as their two beautiful kids Ayden and Gabi.

This is such a special picture. This is the first time Sophia's brother held his niece.

My Best Friend

I wanted to introduce you to my new best friend. I think that all of us have certain things we look for and expect from a friend...support, good communication, there for you in time of need. We have a lot in common. We both look good in pink (although was never my color...I like it a whole lot more now that I have Mikala), we work well together, and she is very dependable. This has been a true life saver. My blood sugars are now in the normal range all day long. I feel 1000 times better. I don't get sick after eating and I am not as grumpy as I have been. My glucometer and ping "talk" to each other so I can do everything I need to do from the glucometer.

I feel like it has been forever since I have posted. Then I look at the date of my last post and it really has. Life has been a little crazy.
So my good friend and mentor Jen found this amazing location and I have wanted to shoot there for awhile. I finally did it this weekend after several attempts over the past few weeks but had really grumpy kids. I had them all dressed each time and when we would get there, they would turn on the water works. GRRRR. Oh well. Sunday was our day. Here are a few of my favorites.

SLCFD #14

The kids and I were invited to join Rob and Tracy for dinner with SLCFD's Station 14. It was fun to visit with all of them. Unfortunately, our visit was cut short due to a 911 call. As we were running out the door, Captain Brenda Robbs gave the kids fire helmets. You would have thought she had given Budah the world. We happened to be in the middle of eating pie when the call came in so Budah kept saying..."Mommy, I want to go back with the fire cock (truck) and eat pie with Daddy. It was so cute. He wore his helmet while we followed the Engine and Ambulance. He loves to see the lights and sirens. When we got home he went to bed and had to have his helmet with him. THANK YOU Captain Robbs for making our sons day and for having us over for a visit.

PCMC follow-up

On Monday December 15th Budah was released from PCMC. I can't begin to tell you how happy I was. At first I wasn't sure that it was in his best interest. He hadn't had fevers for 36 hours so that was good but I was so worried he would dehydrate again. On the drive home he fell asleep. We put him in bed and he slept for about 2 hours. When he woke up, he was like a new person and I then felt he was right where he was supposed to be. I wanted to share some pictures of him. He was so brave and tough. I am the proudest mom. My lil man truly was a perfect patient.
Budah was confined to his room. You can just imagine how BORING that would be. I would go down to the Forever Young Zone and pick up activities for him to do when he felt up to it. Here he is painting a wood bear.

This is one of my favorites. It is so sweet. As you can see he is sleeping with a car. It is one that a UHP officer gave him on the 3rd day we were there. He still sleeps with that car. Thank you to the UHP trooper who truly made Budah happy.

He also would play PS2 games. They didn't have any that he could REALLY play but he sure did give it a good effort.

Everyone knows how much Budah loves sweets. This is all he ate of a cookie. Clearly he is in critical condition if he won't even eat a chocolate chip cookie.

Last Tuesday night I brought Budah to PCMC with a 105.5 temp that I couldn't get to break. He had been having fevers since Saturday but was continuing to decline. We arrived at the ER around 8:30 pm. We were back in a room by 9. They did all the typical tests...UA,Chest x-ray and strep test. ALL came back negative. The blood work they did was also negative...but there was obviously something wrong. They didn't feel comfortable about sending him home so they sent us to the RTU (Rapid Treatment Unit) for over night observation. Of course we will be going home in the morning. Budah continued to have fevers. The blood cultures hadn't come back so we were waiting for them. The doctor came in to talk to me around 8:30 Wednesday night. He stated that he was usually pretty cut and dry what he is going to do with a patient but Budah had him stunned. He was fine with me taking him home if I thought that would be good or he was ok with another night in the RTU. I chose to keep him there. He stated that since our 24 hours would be up at 2 am he would have to turn us over to the hospitalists for full admission. I was fine with that. We didn't leave the RTU but were under different doctors care. Budah was great 20 minutes later. He didn't have a fever and was acting like my boy. I started to question if I had made the right choice. He was cleaning up the toys he had been playing with and jumping around the halls and his room. Then at around 10:30 out of now where he spiked a 106.6 fever. It was not pretty. He had ice packs on him and he was not doing well. His heart rate was up to 198 (due to the fever) and respirations were at 44. He had me stressed.
They got his temp down and he was doing better. They came in and checked on him at around 11 for vitals but then by 11:30 he was at 105+ again. It was the craziest thing I have ever seen.
To make a long story short we have been dealing with the fevers until yesterday. Among other issues like his heart rate dropping to between 40 and 55 and his respirations down to 8. He is throwing pvc's and has a irregular heart beat. We are thinking now that it is a sleep apnea issue. We thought we might get discharged today but he isn't eating or drinking despite having the IV's turned off. We are going to try again tomorrow.
Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. You have helped to keep me strong. AND don't think I didn't get my camera up here for some photos of my lil man. I will download them when we get home...who knows when that will be. : )

I am so happy I had yesterday off. I FINALLY got to go shooting with my friend Jennifer. I always have a ton of fun with her. She is a amazing photographer not to mention how crafty she is. She is constantly working on a new project for her gorgeous girls to wear. Yesterday, it was darling skirts. One of Jen's friends came with us and she has two of the cutest kids. I have to say... the best part of the day was that all of our kids took turns being whine and difficult. It made me realize I am not in this alone...other moms struggle with the same issues. Thanks for a great afternoon.

Day and Night Fun

Yesterday, my sister in law Kandice took the kids to the Barn Yard Boo at Thanksgiving Point. She is a nanny she took Justin (who is the neatest kid). My kids love to be with him. We fed the goats, and looked at the lamas, horses and chickens. Then we waited in line for the kids to ride the horses. It took us a hour before it was our turn. Justin LOVED the horse ride. Budah chickened out at the last minute. I was totally bummed but what do you do? We then decorated cookies and got tattoos. The tattoos where of by the time we made it to the car. BUMMER. Oh well. We had a ton of fun.

We were home for about a hour and then Auntie Dob (my best good friend) came over and we went to Gardner Village. We ran into some other friends and visited with them for a hour or so. It was great to see Tom, Krista and family. Then we walked around a little and it was time to leave. I did get some cute pictures of the kids and Dob (Sharyn). It was a great night. The kids love their Auntie and she is so great with them.

Last night we made the trek to Tooelle to have a BBQ with our friends. Traci is Robs partner at work and she and her family have become good friends of ours. A week in Park City

So we have been home for a week but I am just now getting it together to do a post. I don't know what my problem has been but...anyway. So my Aunt and Uncle thought we needed a break. They gave us their time share in Park City for the week. OMG can I just tell you how wonderful it was. We had a GREAT time. They had several kid friendly activities that we did. Budah and I walked up and down Main Street more times than I care to count but he loved it and I loved being with him. Mik could have cared less what we did, she just wanted to be involved. Rob and I got to spend some quality time with the kids and each other. Thanks Aunt Linda and Uncle John!

My good friend Sophia called me and said "lets go to the fair." I love the fair but I hate the price. She told me that it is only $2.00 on opening day. How could I refuse. So, Thursday afternoon we took off to the Utah State Fair. We had so much fun. Sophia and I were friends in High School but lost contact after I graduated. One April day, two years ago, she came into the office to have her new born son Ayden seen by Dr. Parzych. The rest is history. Ayden is a little over a month younger than Budah and Gabi is about 10 months younger than Mik.

Budah and Mikala are definitely their papa's grand kids. My dad LOVES corn. His eating it is a art form. Every kernel is eaten completely and the cob is clean as if the corn fell off the cob. As you can see Budah and Mik are going to do the same thing one day.

Yesterday, I was playing on the computer, catching up on all my friends blogs when I realized Budah was being very quiet. (Never a good thing) I went into the bathroom where I had last seen him. The light was still on. I walked in and found my cute little poop playing in the toilet. (Thank God I had cleaned it 4 hours earlier) He was getting his hair wet...but why. I told him to get his hands out of the toilet and quickly scooped him up to wash his hands with anti-bacterial soap. When I put him down, he went to the drawer and pulled out his Daddy's razor... it was at this point I realized what he was doing. He was shaving his head. As you can see from the picture it wasn't as bad as it could have been, no cuts=no blood and just a small patch of hair gone in the middle of his forehead and a little fuzz from the side of his forehead. NOTE TO SELF:If the Budah is quiet he is up to no good.

After 12 months of working hard and multiple set backs Rob graduated from High School. No, not a GED, a full fledged diploma. Rob persevered through me and Mikala being hospitalized multiple times, working extra hours to make up for me not working, and the board of education changing the requirements for graduation. Today, we went and picked up his diploma. Congratulations!!! We are proud of you.

Tribute to Wallsburg

When I was 3 yrs old my parents along with my uncle, aunt, grams and gramps bought 14.5 acres of property in Wallsburg, Utah. From that time on we would go there nearly every weekend from May through October. Wallsburg is a small farming community where people still wave at you. Growing up, we would ride our bikes (single speed) to Elmo Fords Mercantile. It was a 2 mile ride (minus 1/10) from our property to Elmo's Store. My cousins and I would ride there every Saturday afternoon to buy penny candy (true penny candy) and candy bars. The store closed in 1994 and I haven't been by since. I would drive past it on our way to the property but never stopped. No reason too if its not open. This past weekend , I went by to take pictures of it. Everything in the store was just how it was when I was little. The rocking chair Mr. Ford would sit in was still there. I could see him there rocking. The jars of penny candy still sit full on the counter. It was amazing. So many memories came rushing back and I shared them all with Rob on our drive home. I am sure he was bored out of his mind. I shot a picture of the old school. What a amazing building. I also took a picture of the coolest house. I asked the owner if it was OK and he was so nice. He told me stories of growing up in it and about how hot it was in the loft. He told me about the Adobe bricks that are now exposed. It was a great visit and I learned so much. Thanks for sharing your stories with me.

Budah is obsessed with motorcycles and 4 wheelers.. Therefore, the the 24th of July was all about the Broom Brooms. We went up to my parents property in Wallsburg and rode 4 wheelers. Robs cousins came up and brought their motorcycles. I have to say they are a little crazy on those bikes. Rob rode with them and he too became a little more crazy than normal. All in all it was a lot of fun and no one got hurt.

It has been a while since I posted. Last week Jenny and I tried to get some good shots of Zach. He is such a pill so its hard to get a shot of him where he isn't goofing off. We drove down to Exchange Place and what a adventure that was. Budah wanted to ride his broom broom so we had to deal with that and Jackson(Jenny's nephew) was also with us and so he needed one also. CRAZY I tell you. Well by the time we got our poop in a group and started to really shoot it was getting dark so we didn't have a lot of good light...and then Budah was tired and that is all I can say about that.

The other day Jen (my photography mentor) sent me a link to this really cool place to shoot. I showed it to Rob and he said he knew just where it was at. We took a drive and took pictures as a family. What a chore that was... Budah and Mikala fell asleep on the drive out and we had to wake them for the shoot. It actually went better than I thought it would but for the nearly 2 hours we were out there I only took 24 shots. You can just imagine how much time was spent trying to get everyone and everything together. Oh well. Maybe we can do better next time.

Last night my neighbor Jenny and I took our kids(all but her daughter Kayla who is in Idaho for the summer taking care of her Grandparents) out to take pictures. It was a lot of fun. We love their family. The boys weren't totally into the picture thing but I think it was nice for them to just be out of the house. Jenny has a real old rod iron chair. It is SO cool, so we took it with us. Oh and the bribery was video games. It is so true the older they are the more money it costs. Mikala and Budah really hammed it up for me. Last Wednesday, I planted the flowers in our front yard. Last year we tore out the fitzers that were in this area. WOW! It was so much easier to plant flowers then. Anyway, I got finished planting at 11:30 pm. Late night.

I am a little slow to post. Tuesday my friend Jen and I took the kids to Wheeler Farm. I decided to take my "other" kids Zach, Mike and Issac (my neighbors). They are so much fun but they keep me on my toes. Zach, the oldest was on the hunt for a snake to take home. Luckly, he didn't find one. Just when I thought I was home free he decided to chase down a chicken and catch it. FOR THE LOVE. Then Mike had to hold it too. YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING. Braden was threatened with his life so he didn't join in. Then they found a way to turn on water and spray the chickens and try to spray each other. BOYS! I love 'em though. I forgot Mikala's stroller so I had to carry her around. Won't make that mistake again. Austin just wanted to be with the BIG boys. When did he grow up? Jen, Aly and Amy mean the world to me. Today we went to the zoo with my mom and nieces. Rob was off work so he went with us. YEA!!! We had a ton of fun with the kids. It was a GREAT day. So my title doesn't really go with my pictures but we did see at least two of the 3 animals from the title.

Budah never ceases to amaze me. Yesterday he decided that "baby sisters" clothes were his. So he put on her 6 month pants. What the hello? How does he fit in them? Ok, so both of my kids have tiny waists. They didn't get that from me. :(

Today took a trip to the Living Planet Aquarium. It was a lot of fun to hang out with the kids. We have had Braden all week and it has been great to have him. I think the coolest thing is the fact you can pet the sting rays. I haven't ever done it...I always have a baby in my arms. Maybe one day.

Today we spent the afternoon in the front yard playing T-ball and hand stand competitions. It was fun to just hang out as a family and of course having my other kids (neighbor kids) over was fun as always. I love those kids and I love having them around.

A trip to Wallsburg

So this past weekend we went up to my families property. It is a little farm town up near Deer Creek. My parents bought it when I was 3. I LOVE IT! Anyway, Rob, Budah, Mikala, Braden and I went their with our neighbors and good friends the Nielsen's. We took the 4 wheelers and they took their bikes and wheelers. It was so much fun. We rode up the mountain side. Mikala rode with me and she slept. Budah rode with Rob and yelled WOO WHO the whole ride up. He fell asleep on the way down. We had such a great time. We missed you Jenny. Next time right?

Mother of the Year

So, Monday I had it all planned out...I would pick up the kids, hang out with them for a few hours, put them to bed and then play on photoshop and talk to my friend Jen on messenger. It was going to be a nice relaxing night. That all came to a end at 7:22 pm when Mikala fell of the bed and landed on a plug that cut her head. Next thing I know I am on my way to drop Budah off to my mom and dad and flying up to Primary Children's Medical Center. Rob was on shift so he just met me up there and tried to comfort me and Mik. He could only stay for a few minutes. I was then on my own. We were up there for 5 hours. A Nurse Practitioner named Steve sewed her up and he did a fab job. Mik was a true trooper. They didn't want to sedate her because of her size so he just sewed her with a little lidocane gel on her head. It had worn off by the time they sewed her but she took it like a trooper. I was so proud of her.
