Braden
Braden is my son from another mom. He is my 8 year old pain in the butt. : ) Braden is a kid that is so much fun if you are lucky enough to see that side of him. He is a smart a#@, funny, and crazy. I tell you this because he most people don't get to see this side of him. We have gone several times to get his picture taken and it is so hard to get him to smile. So the other day we were out and I had my camera with me so I shot some pictures of him. He doesn't have a smile but I think they are great pictures of who Braden is.
Wheeler Farm
On Tuesday (April 22, 2008) my mom and I took Austin , Mikala, and Ella to Wheeler Farm for a fun day of feeding the ducks and geese. We also saw the horses, cows, pigs, sheep, and chickens. Austin had a melt down because he didn't want me to take his picture by the wagon wheel. Ella fell of the saddle (not on a horse) and got a "HUGE" ouch on her elbow. It was so bad only a band aid would make it better. Mikala spent most of the time asleep, however she woke up just in time to get a few cute pictures before we left. It was a really fun day. After the farm we went to McDonalds for hot fudge sundaes. What a great day.

Kona
Kona is our year old boxer. She is a great dog and we love her to death. I gave her to Rob for Easter last year but she is really my dog. I like to rub it in that she loves me most. I named her after the city of Kona on the Island of Hawaii. She is a reverse brindle and so I thought she looked like a mocha coffee. Since I love HI I thought it was a great name...there is just one problem, Kona is a girl with a boy name. The name Kona in Hawaiian is a male name. OH well. We just won't tell her.
Try'n to figure it out
I have been playing with photoshop and having a ton of fun. I am just trying to figure it all out. The program can do sooooo much, I just can't wait to know how to do all of it. So I am showing you my attemts.

It's great to be a mom
A few weeks ago, I had a really hard day. I had Braden(my son from another mom) here as well as Budah and Mikala. We ate dinner and Braden went to play with the neighbors. Kona (our dog) was out running the house. I didn't realize it but Braden hadn't thrown his chicken bones away and Kona ate them. Just about the time I realized this, Budah and Mik started to cry. My blood pressure went through the roof. I started to freak out about Kona and the fact the bones could kill her. I called Rob (at work) and told him. I was SOOOO mad. We got off the phone and I continues to freak out. Then the phone rang. It was Rob. He told me Cole (his partner) had called his vet and they said I needed to give her a half a cup of salt. How am I going to get a half cup of salt down her? As if my BP wasn't high enough...it just got higher. I went over to Jen and Dave's (my neighbors) to see if they could help me. They said to do hydrogen peroxide instead of salt. I ran back to the house to try it. The phone rang again. It was Rob calling to see if I had done it. I FREAKED out on him. I hung up on him and went to work on Kona. I got the job done and she threw up EVERYTHING. Budah and Mik screamed the whole time, and I was ready to kill everyone in my path. As I walked in the house to the chaos, the new song by Trace Atkins (You're going to miss this) was on the radio. It really put thing in perspective for me. The good news is...we are all alive and healthy.
